Reckless attack

When performing a reckless attack, do the following:

  • Roll twice as many weapon dice (bonuses are not doubled)
  • Add your STR bonus to the result
  • After the attack, your weapon suffers one break.

Attack abilities:

  • Strength Most Melee attacks
  • Dexterity Some Melee and Most Ranged attacks
  • Wisdom Some Ranged attacks

Long-ranged ranged attacks are half wisdom, half dexterity. Short-ranged ranged attacks are all dexterity. Finesse melee weapons are dexterity and strength. Brute melee weapons are strength-only.

Stamina

Stamina can be thought of as “how much potential damage can you absorb before actually getting hurt”. You can think of it like dodging or taking blows partially or head-on. Stamina = 2 × CON + STR + DEX

Leader-based Initiative

Initiative is done via encounter leadership skill checks. Whoever stumbles upon an encounter will “lead” the rest into battle. When dealing with stealth, the member that notices the danger is the leader for that encounter. Whichever leader wins, that side goes first.
